The poetry of Allama Anwar Shah Al-Kashmiri: A study of clarity and ambiguity

Abstract

This study is a statement of the poetic experience of the poet, the articulation of his works and the possession of allegory and metonymy displayed in his works. As well as trying to find out the elements of ‘clarity and ambiguity’ in it, the intellectual and literary diversity of his works is also presented. The research paper is an applied critical study to showcase the aesthetic and artistic values seen in his poetry. It includes the introduction, followed by the biography of the poet and an elucidation on the concept of ‘clarity and ambiguity’, until the heart of the thesis is reached: a specific study of a few selected verses.
