Evidences of Rhetoric in the Wisdom of Hassan Bin Ali

Abstract

Eloquence is the art upon which the knowledge of rhetoric has been founded. To top it, when the eloquent speech has emanated from the sacred tongue of the Prophet (PBUH) or has been originated from the chaste tongues of his blessed family, it becomes priceless in terms of its rhetorical value. It would not be inaccurate to say that eloquence is the handmaiden of the prophet's family. That is why, the speech of Hazrat Hasan (R.A.) is valued highly by the people. In his wise words, golden rules are hidden for us. indeed, Allah Almighty had blessed Hazrat Hasan with wisdom and insight abundantly. And his wise sayings are source of guidance and inspiration for us. This article attempts to reveal/unveil the rhetorical merits/ aspects hidden in the sayings of Hazrat Hasan (R.A.).
