Abstract

Honesty and frankness are considered among the most important artistic elements that distinguish the autobiography from the rest of the other literary genres, such as the story and the novel.

The biographer must be truthful, frank, bold and assertive in what he writes in order to obtain credibility and acceptance among people.

Many biographers in the modern era have been concerned with these two important features in their biographies. This research goes to shed sufficient light on the following three biographers: Dr. Aisha Abd al-Rahman Bint al-Shati, Dr. Jalal Amin, and Dr. Mahmoud Hassan al-Shafi’i.
