Abstract

Nazik Al – Malaika was born in Iraq. She was a very famous Arabic poets in twentieth century. Nodout she was a pioneer of free verse movement. Al malaika leaves behind some of Iraq’s most cherished poetry, including such collections as “night loves”, “sparks and ashes” “Bottom of the wave”, the sun beyond the mountain top”. Her role as one of the innovators of free verses change the face of Arabic poetry, and her outspoken comments on traditional, and particularly male- dominated, society have secured her a genuine legacy as a pioneering women.

Dr. Tasadduq Husain khalid was a famous Urdu poet. And he was a first poet who regular adopted the free verses.  His role is very important in urdu poetry, because he play a important role in free verses.

Free verses play very important role in urdu and Arabic poetry. we found these verses in poetry in twenty 1st Century.  And many poets accept these verses and wrote it in their poetry. Arabic poets accept this kind of poetry from eupope. And after 1947 many poets used free verses in their poetry. Like Nazik al malaika, Mehmood sabri, Nazar Qabani etc. like this in urdu poetry we also found many poets who use this type of poetry in their poetry, like Tassaduq, Faiz Ahamad Faiz. etc
